Stayed in this hotel for a week, everything was fine. Friendly, polite and helpfull staff. Amazing location, bus stops just in 1 min walk. Gorgeous view from window. Just in mornings when traffic is busy and window is open ,you can feel traffic fumes and noise.
But in general its nice place to stay and explore city, also not far to go to the beach with the bus, shopping street is just arround the corner. Also, breakfast was tasty and fresh. If you stay for short time,I recomnend to stay in this place.
The receptionist was very gentle
And helpful. She was so nice . The room was good and cosy . . I highly recommend this hotel .
I had to cancel my booking owing to the sudden serious hospitalization of my husband, back in early September, and am still waiting for refund. Terrible service and no communication. Wouldn't bother to stay there.
Staff is friendly and location is fine, but the hotel is absolutely filthy. I cannot recommend anyone to stay here. I did not feel safe at all and every room I have seen in this hotel was awful.
Here are some things I or my friends have experienced during our stay in Ariston Hotel:
-Long black hairs in the bathroom after every visit by the cleaning lady.
-balcony is dirty.
-Cleaning lady left the room door and balcony door open after cleaning.
-Had to ask for toilet paper multiple times because they don't refill.
-They only change towels every 3 days.
-insects in multiple rooms.
-One of us had to switch rooms because their front door wouldn't lock.
-Mold in AC.
-ACs don't work.
-Some showers only had hot water, others only had cold water.
-Door frames are broken and can literally be pulled off.
-Hotel is unbearable cold at nights.
-Breakfast is served in the lobby.
-Breakfast is lacking. Only sweet croissants, nothing with actual nutritional value.
-Wifi keeps turning off and you have to put in the password every day.
-Mold on window frames.
-all drains smell like urine.
-Found a used towel in a cupboard next to the mini-fridge.
Very good location, nice staff, apartment good equiped, rooms are clean and enough sized for 3 persons
It looks like a place from the 17 century...in a great way! I loved the place.
I will come here again.
The room was nothing like in the pictures. Furniture were old, no curtains, some sockets were missing so I could electrocute myself if I wanted. There was only 1 dim light so the room was pretty dark. There were no blankets and when I got one, my dust allergies went crazy. Water in the shower smelled like sewers. There was no hairdryer. The elevator did not work properly so we had to drag our heavy luggage up and down the stairs. Breakfast was very poor.
Postive thing - soap was made of olive oil and was really nice. Staff was somewhat helpful.
A real shame that the owner is such a narcissist and so absolutely not the right person to run a hotel. After lock down I was looking forward to traveling again and wanted to support the small hotels that have suffered so much but this place was the wrong choice and a disappointment. Andrea the front desk was lovely and did his best but he is limited because of his boss! The hotel is clean and well located. The air conditioning didn’t work and could not be controlled in the room, not ideal in summer or with open windows and the fairly loud Piazza della Republica under the window. The shower could do with descaling (entkalken). The general impression is that the owner doesn’t give a damn!
